Woodbridge proudly sends 100 kids to Spring Break Camps this March

Woodbridge is contributing funds for 100 children to attend camp

The Woodbridge Foundation recently donated more than $25,000 to the School District 43 (Coquitlam), enabling 100 children to attend week-long spring break camps in March.

Spring break camps offer a nurturing environment where children can learn new skills, build confidence and form meaningful relationships. These experiences not only expose them to new activities and knowledge but also provide a reprieve to parents who are often faced with challenges finding child care during school breaks or do not have the resources for out-of-school activities.

“An unprecedented number of families are needing our support to pay Spring Break Camp fees this year. Thanks to our School District’s connection to the Woodbridge Foundation, an estimated 100 kids from this school district will be able to spend time doing what they wanted to do at spring break while their parents go to work every day,” says Jeff Stromgren, SD43 Community Connections.

Camps contribute to the social, emotional and cognitive development of children, helping to equip them with essential life skills that enhance their academic performance, interpersonal relationships and personal well-being.

By supporting their participation in camps, Woodbridge Foundation is investing in the community by fostering a more inclusive and prosperous society for all.
